Kavya worked as an Assistant Director at CJLS. As the Assistant Director, Kavya organised multiple policy and legal interventions and drafted reports on reproductive rights and the rights of transgender persons. Kavya also oversaw the internship program and mentorship initiatives such as the intern reading groups. Her work at the Centre combined academic research, activism and policy interventions on reproductive rights, trans rights, and other areas of law and marginalisation. She is passionate about critical feminist and queer theory and believes in an abolitionist framework of justice. 

Kavya has an LLM from the University of Cambridge as well as a physics degree.
