Muskan is a recipient of the Human Rights Fellowship or the LL.M. (2024-25) at Columbia Law School. They was also awarded the International Fellowship by the American Association of University Women.

At the Centre for Justice, Law and Society (CJLS) they was the Assistant Director, Law and Marginalisation Clinic and their work included legal aid and litigation with the pro-bono Trans-Justice and the Law Clinic and research on gender and sexual equality in law and its intersections with marginalised identities.

They graduated from Jindal Global Law School in 2021 with two gold medals, for All-Round Performance and Leadership. When they was a university student, they worked as a Research Assistant at CJLS where they conducted research on gender, jurisprudential theory, transgender rights and reproductive rights. They founded the JGU Student Queer Reading Group, and was an active part of the JGU Queer Collective. They has also been on the editorial board of JGU’s queer magazine, Maya and a Notes Editor for the Jindal Global Law Review. They were actively engaged in social and legal initiatives including the JGLS Legal Aid Clinic, the Social Service Society, Students for Peace, Students with Kashmiri Students and the Disability Inclusion Society. They has also worked with legal and social initiatives outside of JGLS, such as the Neev Foundation for Legal Aid and You’re Wonderful Project
