Surabhi is a Lecturer (Law) and Assistant Dean (LLM Blended Learning Program) at Jindal Global Law School (India). She pursued her LLB (Hons.) degree from Cardiff University, a Russel Group university in Wales, United Kingdom and also has a Master of Arts (LPC with Business) degree from BPP University, London. In 2022, Surabhi completed her LLM degree from Jindal Global Law School as a gold medalist (Rank 1) and the recipient of the prestigious Nani Palkhivala Award for all-round performance.

Surabhi is a former intellectual property law associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co., New Delhi and has worked on multiple advisory, transactional and contentious matters relating to copyright laws, trade mark laws and patent laws. She has also worked extensively on land and environmental laws with organisations like the Land Conflict Watch, in the capacity of a project coordinator and WWF-India, in the capacity of a legal researcher.

Surabhi’s research interests lie primarily within the mental health sector as she seeks to bridge the existing gaps between mental health and the Indian society, with a strong focus on the existing mental health laws of the country. She is also building her startup on mental health wellness as a step towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3, towards 2030.

Surabhi is an avid reader and an equally avid book hoarder. She is also involved in various activities relating to community development and empowerment of the youth. Surabhi is determined to build a society where the dignity of each life is respected.
