Radhika Nair (She/Her)

Clinical Assistant Professor of Law, Jindal Global Law School

Research Fellow, Centre for Justice, Law and Society

Radhika completed a B.A.(Hon.) degree in Mass Media and Mass Communication from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University after which she obtained an M.A. in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics. She then went on to complete an LLB from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University and an Advanced LLM in European and International Human Rights Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Before joining CJLS, she was an Academic Fellow at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, where she was a Teaching Assistant on core courses such as Civil Procedure Code, Jurisprudence II and Interpretation and elective courses to both law and Masters in Public Policy (MPP) students. She also worked as a Policy Researcher with Professor Babu Mathew at the Centre for Labour Studies (CLS) where she proposed a comprehensive draft legislation on agriculture sector workers providing for their welfare and regulating the conditions of their work.

She has worked in research and advocacy roles in the field of access to justice and legal reform- independently at grassroots level as well as in academic or institutional settings. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, she was a lawyer working on civil, criminal and family matters in the High Court of Delhi.

CJLS facilitates critical dialogue on issues of law and marginalisation through research and advocacy. What draws me to the work of CJLS is its meaningful engagement with activists, scholars and grassroots workers, reflecting a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to bringing about transformative change. I am very excited to join a team dedicated to making a positive impact on law and policy.
