Sneha is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School and Assistant Director, Law and Marginalisation Clinic, Centre for Justice, Law and Society. She pursued her B.B.A LL.B (International Law Hons.) from School of Law, KIIT University. She received the ‘Bai Jerbai Hormusji Bhabha Award’ by Lady Meherbai D. Tata Education Trust to pursue a Masters in Gender Studies her M.A from SOAS, University of London.
Sneha is a gender and law specialist with over 11 years of experience, dedicated to advancing women's rights and justice through legal advocacy, reform, policy and sensitization. She has a strong background in international human rights, constitutional law and courts, with a focus on gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights, trans rights and POSH.
Until August 2022, Sneha served as the Director of Women's Justice Initiative at the Human Rights Law Network in Delhi, where she led a team of lawyers, researchers and activists to provide legal aid, strategic litigation, and public interest advocacy for women facing discrimination, violence, and injustice. She has been instrumental in critical legal interventions on Right to Abortion, Prevention of child marriages in India, Maternal Health and Obstetric Violence, contraceptive information and services amongst others. She led the work for the Centre for Constitutional Rights at HRLN wherein she successfully conducted over 30 International Law Lectures in collaboration with international civil society organizations across the world. She has co-authored and published comprehensive publication titled My Body My Choice in 2019.
She has served as an independent consultant to many prestigious organizations including the Centre for Reproductive Rights and remained an honorary Council Member for the Delhi Anti Sexual Harassment Council, Women’s India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India (January-December’ 2021).
